On September 12, the panel of judges of the HACC granted the motion of the prosecutor and extended the term of Andriy Kobolyev’s obligations for 2 months.
These are the following obligations: to notify the court of a change of residence, to refrain from communicating with witnesses, and to surrender passports for foreign travel.
The prosecutor emphasized that there were two risks: Kobolyev had sufficient property resources to hide abroad, and he could also influence witnesses who had not yet been questioned during the trial.
So far, the prosecutor has almost finished submitting evidence in this case; subsequently, the defense counsel will submit their evidence. After that, the participants in the proceedings and the court will proceed to the questioning of witnesses, the number of which exceeds 80.
According to the investigation, Kobolyev, contrary to the requirements of the law, issued an order to reward the company's employees, based on which he was paid almost UAH 261 million (USD 10 million) for the favorable decision in the Stockholm arbitration.
