On October 31, the HACC Appeals Chamber partially granted the appeals of both the SAPO prosecutor and the defense counsel in the case of former MP Dmytro Kriuchkov.
The previous decision of the HACC on choosing and applying an interim measure in the form of detention was overturned.
Kriuchkov himself attended the meeting online. In October, the court put him on the international wanted list. Kriuchkov left Ukraine in February 2024 and never returned. He has 5 children and, accordingly, is entitled to freely cross the border.
Former MP Kriuchkov is accused of large-scale embezzlement of over UAH 1.5 billion at Cherkasyoblenergo and Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo enterprises (regional electricity distribution companies).
