The HACC AC partially granted the defense attorneys' complaint about the interim measure imposed on Tetiana Krupa, the head of the Khmelnytskyi medical and social expert commission. She is to remain in custody, but with a reduced bail of UAH 300 million. The previous amount was UAH 500 million.

The defense requested to choose a more lenient interim measure, since Krupa's detention was allegedly unlawful and the suspicion was unfounded. The defense attorneys referred to the lack of evidence and risks not proven by the prosecutor. The fact that Krupa tried to throw some money out the window during the search they called gossip, since this was not recorded in the search report.

They also noted that the bail was excessive for the head of the MSEK, from whom all funds and real estate were seized, as well as those of her family members. In addition, according to the defense, the decision was made in violation of the rules of jurisdiction, and therefore it should be overturned, and a new one should be issued.

The prosecutor objected to granting the appeal. He considers the suspicion to be well-founded since, in the case of unlawful enrichment, detailed circumstances do not need to be clarified. The fact of unlawful enrichment of UAH 137 million has already been established.

He also emphasized the risks of hiding from law enforcement agencies, distortion, and destruction of evidence. The prosecutor justified the amount of bail by the fact that Krupa's real property status is unknown, which is greater than the data in the declaration. He said that as many as 150 real estate objects registered to Krupa, her relatives, and related legal entities have already been found.

The NABU suspects Tetiana Krupa, the head of the Khmelnytskyi MSEK and regional council member, of unlawful enrichment of UAH 137 million.
