On April 3, 2025, the HACC Appeals Chamber announced the verdict in the case of former Dniprovskyi District Court judge Mykola Chaus after considering the appeals of the defense and prosecution. The court partially granted the appeals, overturned the sentence, and issued a new one, finding Chaus guilty under Article 368, Part 4, and sentencing him to 8.5 years in prison.
The court also decided to confiscate all of Chaus' property and to deprive him of the right to hold judicial positions, as well as positions in the HCJ and HQCJ, for three years.
Chaus has been remanded in custody.
