Today, the former head of the State Fiscal Service, after "demobilization", arrived at a hearing regarding the case of his alleged receipt of a UAH 722 million bribe for VAT refunds to agricultural companies owned by businessman Oleh Bakhmatiuk. The HACC extended the defendant's duties for another two months, including the obligation to wear an electronic bracelet.
As it turned out, the defense of the ex-official had previously requested to halt the trial of this case due to his mobilization, but at the beginning of the hearing, they asked for this motion to be dismissed.
When asked by the court whether military service affects his duties as a defendant, Nasirov stated that it limits his ability to carry out certain orders.
On April 7, Nasirov voluntarily joined the Defense Forces of Ukraine, which would have suspended legal proceedings in both of his cases. However, the commander of the military unit deemed the order illegal and canceled it. The military law enforcement service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has initiated an internal investigation into the circumstances of his mobilization.
