The HACC continues to determine the preventive measure for Yelyzaveta Ivakhnenko; the floor has passed to the Muse's defense.

The lawyer disputed the prosecutor's claim that Ivakhnenko was at the Lviv railway station in order to cross the state border. By his information, the suspect was waiting for a train to Odesa.

The lawyer stressed that no suspect has been served a notice of suspicion under Article 368 of the Criminal Code — meaning there is no predicate offense. The lawyers also point to the absence of any signs of a criminal organization.

The defense emphasizes that the bail set as an alternative is beyond Ivakhnenko's means: given her official income, she cannot raise the money for it. The lawyers likewise maintain that the risks the prosecutor listed do not exist.

The defense further noted that the investigation has not established the amount of the alleged legalization Ivakhnenko is supposedly party to. The lawyer also stressed that the case has drawn excessive media attention, giving rise to many exaggerations and fabrications.

The defense therefore asks the court to deny the prosecutor's motion.

The suspect herself said she did not know a criminal organization existed and took no part in it.

The court has now retired to the deliberation room to reach its decision.
