What else do we know from today's session?

Andrii Odarchenko was interrogated by the HACC today. As a reminder, a former member of the Council's anti-corruption committee allegedly offered a bribe in bitcoins equivalent to $50,000 to the former head of the Restoration Agency, Mustafa Nayem.

As before, he claims that he approached Kubrakov to request funds from the Liquidation Fund to repair university buildings (Odarchenko was the rector of the State Biotechnology University). Then he introduced him to Mustafa Nayem.

According to the MP, Nayem further indicated that all communication on this matter should go through him and subtly hinted at a financial arrangement by rubbing his fingers.

Odarchenko admitted to offering the bribe but claimed that Nayem had allegedly coerced him into doing so. The MP does not recall the exact amount discussed in the arrangement, but he personally requested the transfer of $10,000.

The accused confirmed that he left Ukraine due to a “danger to his life and health” but refused to disclose his location. In response to the prosecutor's question about how he crossed the state border, Odarchenko answered, “on my own.”

Today, the court concluded its questioning of the accused. The next session will proceed to the stage of court debates.
