Prosecutors believe Tyshchenko may go into hiding to evade prosecution.

They argue he has sufficient assets to flee, including a large collection of jewelry and other valuables. Investigators cited his membership in numerous parliamentary friendship groups with foreign states — including Vietnam, Qatar, India, and Uzbekistan — as a further flight risk.

Prosecutors also pointed to Tyshchenko's extensive connections, including to Andrii Yermak, and said the MP is concealing his actual place of residence.

Mykola Tyshchenko is suspected of soliciting a bribe in exchange for not interfering with certain call centers, laundering the proceeds, and submitting false information in his asset declaration regarding those funds, allegedly gifted to him by his ex-wife.
