On November 28, 2024, the HACC granted the prosecutor's motion and extended the pre-trial investigation into the case of Tetiana Krupa, the head of the Khmelnytskyi medical and social expert commission, until April 5, 2025.
The prosecutor justified the need to continue the investigation by stating that it was necessary to complete various procedural actions, namely, a review of documents seized after searches, expert examination, and interrogation. In addition, requests for international legal assistance are being prepared since Krupa's bank accounts and significant amounts of money were found abroad.
The defense argued that the circumstances that the investigation wants to investigate were not related to the suspicion notice Krupa was served with, and the procedural actions listed go beyond the fact to be proven. According to the defense, the investigation had enough time to carry out all necessary actions.
The NABU suspects Tetiana Krupa, the head of the Khmelnytskyi medical and social expert commission and regional council member, of unlawful enrichment by UAH 137 million.
