On October 8, 2026, the HACC completed its examination of evidence in the case against Tetiana Ilieva, a judge of the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv, and announced the start of closing arguments.
For lack of time, the closing arguments will begin on October 29, after which the defendant will deliver her final statement and the court will retire to the deliberation room to reach a verdict.
During the hearing, the court also examined, with the participation of an engaged expert, some of the materials seized during a search, including information stored on optical discs.
The defense objected to adding these materials to the case file and filed a motion to have them declared inadmissible and irrelevant evidence.
The prosecutor, in turn, urged the court to deny the defense’s motion, stressing that the prosecution’s position would be set out in greater detail at the closing arguments stage.
Before that, the HACC also questioned Ilieva. The defendant’s questioning took place in a partially closed hearing at the defense’s request.
As reported earlier, Tetiana Ilieva, a judge of the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv, is accused of issuing an unlawful ruling that made it possible to lift the seizure of €110,700 and $9,300. The funds were returned not to their owner but to another person.
