On December 16, 2024, the Supreme Court overturned the appeal decision in the case of Roman Mahuta, former head of the Accounting Chamber, former member Maria Shulezhko, and her nephew Maksym Shulezhko. The case was referred for a new hearing in the appellate instance.
Earlier, the defendants were acquitted, as the court concluded that their actions did not constitute a crime.
According to the investigation, Mahuta, Shulezhko, and her nephew seized a state-owned apartment worth UAH 1.39 million.
