On July 17, 2026, SAPO announced that the prosecutor had sent to court the case against Vasyl Artymovych and Mykhailo Yurkevych, former chairmen of the Lviv Regional Commercial Court, along with Iryna Malekh, a former judge of the commercial court of appeal.
They are accused of soliciting a bribe of over $1 million for issuing court rulings, as well as of influencing the judges hearing the relevant cases.
A preparatory hearing will be scheduled shortly.
The case also involves Borys Plotnitskyi, former chairman of the Western Commercial Court of Appeal, who reached a plea agreement with investigators. Plotnitskyi pleaded guilty, and the court sentenced him to 8 years' imprisonment, suspended, along with a fine of UAH 85,000 and a 3-year ban on holding certain positions. Plotnitskyi also committed to transferring UAH 10 million to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
