On October 7, 2024, the HACC denied the complaint regarding the suspension of the pre-trial investigation into the embezzlement of UAH 9.2 billion from PrivatBank.
Ihor Kolomoiskyi appealed the NABU detective's decision from August 14, 2024, which halted the pre-trial investigation in the case while awaiting responses to requests for international assistance from various countries.
The defense argued that the suspension was artificial, violated reasonable timelines, and that the resolution was illegal. Additionally, the pre-trial investigation period has already expired, and the suspicion was reported to Kolomoiskyi after this period. The court rejected the complaint and noted that the issue of the pre-trial investigation timelines will be addressed at the preparatory session.
We remind you that in this case, the NABU is investigating events from 2015, when Kolomoiskyi, along with his associates, allegedly embezzled UAH 9.2 billion from the bank's funds.
