On September 11, 2025, the HACC imposed an interim measure on developer Vladyslava Molchanova in the form of bail of UAH 100 million and imposed several obligations on her:

  • to appear when summoned by detectives, prosecutors, or the court

  • to notify authorities of any change of residence or employment

  • to refrain from contact with other suspects and witnesses

  • surrender her international passport.

The prosecutor had requested bail in the amount of UAH 300 million, presenting a range of evidence supporting the validity of the suspicion and the risks to the criminal proceedings.

Among the evidence was Molchanova’s correspondence with MP Mykola Tyshchenko. Detectives documented their communications regarding arrangements with former MP Yurii Ivaniushchenko. She also discussed with Tyshchenko approaching the Minister of Justice about land registration issues and asked him to influence construction matters, suggesting meetings “over a glass of wine.” In addition, she was found to have had contacts with MP Oles Dovhyi.

According to the prosecutor, Molchanova and her associates maintained a special “protocol” in anticipation of law enforcement searches.

To demonstrate her significant wealth, the prosecutor cited such facts as yacht rental for €390,000 and a $150,000 lunch with Mike Tyson, supported by photographs. He also noted that Molchanova repeatedly commissioned media publications presenting the circumstances of the criminal case in her favor, which, in his view, indicates a risk of influence on witnesses.

The defence, for its part, emphasised that Molchanova’s actions involved no violations and argued that the prosecution was attempting to discredit her as a businesswoman. During the hearing, several individuals offered to stand surety for her, including writer Vasyl Shkliar, priest Antonii, and several military personnel.

Molchanova herself stated that she is a “hero mother” who has always supported the country and runs a socially responsible business.  She described the prosecution’s allegations as “baseless accusations.” She also insisted she never dined with Mike Tyson — claiming she was only offered such a contract — and said she would file a civil lawsuit to defend her honor and dignity. She further declared that she would not post bail.

The NABU and the SAPO suspect Vladyslava Molchanova and former MP Yurii Ivaniushchenko of misappropriating 18 hectares of land worth more than UAH 160 million. According to investigators, in 2021, acting through individuals under their control in the State Service for Geodesy, Cartography, and Cadastre, they first leased the land plots, then sold them to companies linked to Molchanova, and later arranged for their joint use.
