On September 18, HACC judge Viktor Nohachevskyi decided to summon MP Andrii Odarchenko, who was accused of trying to bribe Mustafa Nayyem with bitcoins.
Odarchenko has failed to appear at today's hearing for unknown reasons. The prosecutor claims that the MP is currently abroad, but she cannot confirm this yet.
Odarchenko was to be interrogated today, then court debates were to follow, and the last word of the accused was to be heard. According to the prosecutor, the MP felt that the verdict would be delivered soon, so he decided not to wait for it and leave Ukraine.
Tomorrow at 8 a.m., the court will consider the prosecutor's motion to recover UAH 15 million in bail into the budget and put Odarchenko on the international wanted list.
