On June 11, the HACC issued a verdict against former MP Dmytro Kriuchkov, who is currently hiding abroad. He was found guilty of misappropriating property on a particularly large scale.
Kriuchkov was sentenced to 10.5 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. The sentence will begin once he is actually apprehended.
Notably, this is Kriuchkov’s second conviction. He was previously sentenced by the HACC to 15 years in prison for embezzling over UAH 1.5 billion from the companies Cherkasyoblenergo and Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo. That verdict is currently under review by the HACC Appeals Chamber.
