A bail of UAH 1 million has been set for Alla Sushon, the former director of the state enterprise Ukrcommunobsluhovuvannia, who is a suspect in the corruption case involving the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories. The decision was issued by an investigative judge of the HACC on the evening of June 18. In addition, Sushon is subject to several procedural obligations, including refraining from contact with other suspects in the case.

According to the prosecutor, Sushon is charged with participating in the approval and execution of contracts under terms clearly disadvantageous to the state.

Investigators believe that Serhii Kopystyra, together with top officials of the Ministry, implemented a scheme to illegally acquire land in Kyiv for a residential development. The land was transferred through a state-owned enterprise to a construction company, which was supposed to allocate part of the apartments to the state. The value of the land was artificially reduced nearly fivefold, which may have caused over UAH 1 billion in losses to the state.
