On April 15, 2025, the HACC imposed an interim measure in the form of night house arrest, from 00:00 to 06:00, on Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, the former head of the Department of Defense for Logistical Support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He has been assigned a number of duties, including surrendering his passport for international travel.

The HACC investigating judge granted the prosecutor's motion. The prosecutor cited two risks: flight and obstruction of criminal proceedings.

According to investigators, Bohdan Khmelnytskyi signed all contracts for the supply of food products to the Armed Forces of Ukraine at inflated prices. He also held talks with another person involved in the case, Mykola Deshpetko, the former director of one of the supplier companies.

During the court session, suspect Khmelnytskyi stated that, in accordance with the Ministry of Defense's order, prices were set based on a formula that took into account the specific weight of products, the number of military personnel, and estimated inflation. Food sets were procured as a single unit according to the menu approved by the commanders. The high share of potatoes, for example, led to their higher price, while a decrease in the cost of other products balanced the overall price.

In addition to Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, NABU and SAPO also suspect entrepreneur Tetiana Hlyniana, who controlled the supplier companies, along with entrepreneurs Larysa Shvets and Valerii Melesh, as well as Mykola Deshpetko, the former director of Premium Company, of involvement in the scheme.
