As a reminder, in May 2021, NABU received a report of extortion. According to the whistleblower Tymofieiev, he was offered assistance in resolving the issue of the seizure of vehicles in exchange for money.
According to the prosecution, Prosecutor Antypov, along with intermediary Oleh Halchenko-Avilov, received $150,000 in bribes through their accomplice, Ihor Osypovych. The defense requested the court to acquit the accused, asserting that their rights were severely violated during the investigation of the case.
It is worth mentioning that Prosecutor Antypov, who is also involved in the cases, was absent during the trial. In October 2022, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which led to the separation of his case and the suspension of proceedings against him. Later, the proceedings were resumed.
