On December 19, 2024, the Criminal Cassation Court of the Supreme Court partially granted the prosecutor's cassation appeal and referred the case of Valerii Patskan, former head of the Accounting Chamber and former MP, to the HACC AC for a new consideration.
Previously, the HACC found Patskan guilty and released him from liability due to the statute of limitations. The HACC AC closed this case due to the absence of elements of a criminal offense in his actions.
Valerii Patskan was accused of receiving more than UAH 280,000 in housing compensation, despite having his own apartment in Kyiv, while he was a member of parliament.
