On January 2, 2025, the HACC Appeals Chamber upheld the verdict sentencing former State Service for Export Control official Serhii Holovatyi to 10.5 years in prison.

The court upheld all penalties, including imprisonment, confiscation of property, deprivation of his civil servant rank, and a three-year ban on holding certain positions.

Holovatyi was found guilty of demanding $300,000 in bribes in exchange for issuing a permit to export dual-use goods to Russia. These products could be used for both civilian and military purposes.
