The suspect has been in custody since February 13, 2024. In August, his bail was reduced to UAH 181 million. During the session, Tyshchenko emotionally claimed that he was facing illegal prosecution, pressure, and discrimination. He pointed out that he was an honest businessman and was suffering from the arbitrariness of the state.
Defense attorneys insisted that the suspicion was unfounded and that there were no risks; however, the court upheld the decision.
Let us remind you that Tyshchenko, along with former MP Pashynskyi, is suspected of involvement in the embezzlement of oil products from the Odesa refinery linked to oligarch Kurchenko. We are referring to raw materials valued at over UAH 960 million.
