NABU and SAPO have served a notice of suspicion on Olha Stefanishyna, former Ukrainian ambassador to the United States and former deputy prime minister. The HACC is currently deciding on a preventive measure for her, Suspilne reported, citing the court's press service.

The NABU and the SAPO have not yet disclosed what exactly Stefanishyna is accused of. According to Ukrainska Pravda journalist Mykhailo Tkach, the suspicion concerns illicit enrichment.

Stefanishyna is also a defendant in a separate criminal case that the HACC has been hearing on the merits since October 2023. She and other defendants in that case are accused of misappropriating, between 2013 and 2014, budget funds allocated for services adapting Ukrainian legislation to EU law, under the leadership of former Justice Minister Olena Lukash.
