Today, a HACC investigating judge partially granted the SAPO prosecutor's motion and imposed detention as a preventive measure on Office of the President official Viktor Dubovyk, with the alternative of UAH 7 million bail.

Should bail be posted, he will be subject to a number of obligations, including wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet.

According to investigators, Dubovyk was involved in a criminal organization that allegedly carried out raiding, document forgery, and interference with information systems. Drawing on his position and prior experience, he devised legal mechanisms for seizing others' property and instructed accomplices on forging court rulings to lift asset seizures and concealing them from notaries in the registries. He also oversaw alternative levers of influence over the Ministry of Justice through employees under his control.

At the hearing, the prosecutor substantiated all five risks: that Dubovyk might flee criminal justice authorities, destroy evidence, unlawfully influence witnesses, otherwise obstruct the proceedings, and commit a further criminal offense.

On those grounds, the SAPO prosecutor had sought detention for Dubovyk with the alternative of a UAH 50 million bail.
