On April 15, 2026, the HACC investigating judge extended the pre-trial detention of Herman Halushchenko — former Justice Minister and, before that, Energy Minister — by two months.
The court also left unchanged his bail of UAH 200 million.
As previously reported, the NABU and the SAPO uncovered a criminal organization composed of current and former officials, including those in the energy sector. According to the prosecution, its members built a large-scale corruption scheme to influence the operations of strategic state-owned enterprises — most notably Energoatom — for the purpose of collecting bribes and laundering proceeds.
