Olesia Chemerys, the HACC press secretary, told Ukrinform: “The Member of Parliament failed to post bail in the amount of UAH 100 million, as set by the investigating judge.”
Earlier this year, on January 24, HACC set Bondar’s bail at UAH 100 million, requiring payment within five business days. Although the HACC Appellate Chamber is currently reviewing this interim measure, the suspect remains obligated to post bail.
Failure to do so may result in the imposition of stricter interim measures.
As previously reported, NABU and SAPO suspect Bondar and his accomplices of orchestrating a scheme to supply Ukrzaliznytsia with products at inflated prices during 2021–2022. According to the investigation, Ukrzaliznytsia suffered losses exceeding UAH 140 million over the two years the scheme was in operation.
