On October 20, the High Anti-Corruption Court adjourned the case and fined MP Andrii Klochko UAH 6,656. The court found that he had no valid reason for missing the hearing.

In his motion to adjourn, Klochko said he would be unable to attend because of an official trip. As emerged at the previous hearing, the MP was due to travel to Poland for an off-site seminar of the Ukraine–NATO Interparliamentary Council.

At the time, the panel of judges denied the motion, stressing that the defendant could join the October 20 hearing by videoconference while abroad.

Klochko nevertheless did not join. His defense attorney cited security considerations at special facilities.

Andrii Klochko is charged with unlawful enrichment of UAH 11.3 million. According to the investigation, in 2020–2021 the MP acquired Mercedes-Benz S63 and Tesla Model X cars, land plots, apartments, and a residential house. Some of the assets were allegedly registered to close relatives on his instructions.
