On November 19, the HACC found Iryna Hordeyeva, the former head of the procurement procedures department of the subsidiary at JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, not guilty due to the lack of proof of her guilt under Article 191, part 5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely, misappropriation or embezzlement of property. The verdict can be contested in the appellate instance.
Hordeyeva is involved in the case of causing UAH 20 million in losses to Ukrzaliznytsia. According to the investigation, from June to December 2014, Tsivun and Bohdan, in collusion with the owner of the company Inkomm and the deputy director of the state enterprise Ukrzaliznychpostach, which is engaged in procurement for railway transport, provided instructions to other persons and facilitated the conclusion of a contract for the supply of hardware products. As a result, the price in the contract was overstated, which led to losses for Ukrzaliznychpostach in the amount of more than UAH 21 million.
Earlier, the HACC approved a plea agreement with Nadia Bohdan, the former director of Incomm LLC, and Dmytro Tsivun, the former financial director of Soyuz-Enerho LLC. As for the other defendants: Khoroschak, Kravchuk, and Stepanenko, the court continues to hear the case.
