On September 10, the HACC partially granted the motion of a NABU detective and imposed an interim measure on lawyer Anatolii Rekun in the form of bail set at UAH 10 million.
Upon posting bail, Rekun must appear at the request of investigators, not leave Kyiv and Kyiv region without permission, report any change of residence, refrain from contact with certain individuals, and surrender his international passports.
He is suspected of committing criminal offenses under Article 27(5) and Article 369(4) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The lawyer is a figure in the case of former Supreme Court Chairman Vsevolod Kniaziev. According to Sudovyi Reporter, Rekun personally visited the office of lawyer Oleh Horetskyi, who has already been convicted in this case, and handed him part of the bribe for Kniaziev in the amount of USD 800,000.
The NABU and the SAPO accuse former Supreme Court Chairman Vsevolod Kniaziev of organizing a scheme for receiving bribes in exchange for court decisions.
