The court adopted such a decision regarding Ihor Kalinichenko because it received a response from the NABU, which enforced the decision compelling him to appear at court. It was reported that he could not participate in the hearings because he was on an official trip to another military unit.
The court also appealed to the military unit in which Kalinichenko served, asking if he could participate in court hearings remotely. The response indicated that he was prohibited from using means of communication.
The investigation of evidence in the case continued since May of this year. But now the charges against him will be separated into a different proceeding.
The court also extended the duties imposed on Hunko: not to travel outside the Kyiv region without permission, to notify the court of a change of residence, not to communicate with witnesses, and to surrender foreign passports.
According to the investigation, the MP, his assistant Ihor Kalinichenko, and other persons allegedly demanded USD 85,000 from the representative of an agricultural company for a permission to cultivate lands in state ownership. Earlier, on October 29, the judges of the HACC issued a decision to compel Kalinichenko to appear at the hearings scheduled for November.
