The HACC continues to examine the evidence in the case of former Supreme Court Chairman Vsevolod Kniaziev.
At today’s hearing, conversations between notary Kyrylo Horburov and lawyer Oleh Horetskyi were examined. The expressions “A high-scoring question,” “No more than 15 grand, that's for sure,” and “How do we build our conversation with Sieva [Kniaziev — ed.]?” were recorded during secret investigative actions.
Vsevolod Kniaziev claims that Horburov incited Horetskyi to commit a crime. Also, the defense argued that there were issues with the packaging of the storage medium and requested an inspection of the envelope. The prosecutor responded that the issues were insignificant.
The court session also addressed a conversation between Zhevaho and Horetskyi that took place after the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court ruled in the businessman's favor. The prosecutor believes that the conversation mentioned $2 million, which, according to investigators, Zhevaho gave to Kniaziev in exchange for a ruling in the Poltava Mining and Processing Plant case. They then discussed transferring this amount to another safe deposit box. The defense argues that this conversation concerned other people and events.
It is worth noting that, according to investigators, Vsevolod Kniaziev, in collusion with notary Kyrylo Horburov and lawyer Oleh Horetskyi, orchestrated a scheme to receive a bribe in exchange for favorable court decisions.
