The High Council of Justice has considered a report by HACC investigating judge Vitalii Dubas alleging that he had been subjected to pressure by Members of Parliament who attended court hearings in support of Yuliia Tymoshenko.
The HCJ has referred the matter to the Committee on Rules of Procedure, Parliamentary Ethics and Administration of Verkhovna Rada’s Work, calling on the committee to take steps to prevent MPs from engaging in conduct that could be construed as interference with the administration of justice.
As reported earlier, in January 2026 Judge Dubas filed notices with the HCJ and the Prosecutor General reporting pressure from a number of MPs. The interference occurred during the January 19 hearing on SAPO's motion to seize the property of Tymoshenko's family. Even after the court ruled to move to a closed session, the MPs forced their way into the courtroom, threatened the judge and a NABU detective, and shoved court security staff.
