The full bail amount of UAH 20 million was posted today for Iryna Mudra, former deputy head of the Office of the President. The HACC press service confirmed this to Transparency International Ukraine.
The former official is now due to be released from the pretrial detention facility. She will be subject to procedural obligations, including wearing an electronic bracelet.
Iryna Mudra is a suspect in the Forrest Gump and Themis cases. Investigators say the Office of the President official belonged to a criminal organization that aimed to seize real estate and other assets of legal entities through unauthorized interference with Ministry of Justice registers and the forgery of court decisions, ownership documents, and the like.
Investigators also say that about UAH 150 million was legalized as a result of raiding and corruption schemes. The money was allegedly needed to post bail for a suspect in the Midas case — former Justice Minister of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko.
