Bail has begun to be paid for Batkivshchyna leader Yuliia Tymoshenko. As of now, according to Ukrainska Pravda, UAH 13.65 million of the UAH 33 million bail set as her interim measure has been transferred to HACC’s account.

According to the outlet’s sources, the money came from Serhii Rabchuk and Oksana Fetisova, who are linked to MP Kostiantyn Bondariev. Rabchuk headed the now-liquidated Veles bank, which belonged to Bondariev, and the two also co-own the Kind Heart of the Motherland charitable foundation. Oksana Fetisova is the founder and formerly served as director of Bondariev’s BONDAREV Trading House LLC.

Yuliia Tymoshenko is suspected of offering bribes to MPs in exchange for “needed” votes in the Verkhovna Rada. On January 16, an HACC investigating judge imposed an interim measure in the form of bail along with additional obligations.
