The defense asked to cancel the 40 million bail for Nasirov and replace it with a personal recognizance. Substantiating their position, the defense lawyers mentioned the excessive amount of the bail and a similar list of obligations in another case. 

The prosecutor disagreed referring Nasirov's failed attempt to mobilize.

The HACC dismissed the defense attorney's motion and upheld the current interim measure.

Roman Nasirov, the former head of the SFS, is accused of involvement in Onyshchenko's “gas case.” According to investigators, the former official and his accomplice issued unlawful orders for deferred rent payments for the use of subsoil to companies controlled by Onyshchenko, causing the state about UAH 2 billion in losses.

In another case, Nasirov is suspected of receiving UAH 722 million in bribes for VAT refunds to agricultural companies of businessman Oleh Bakhmatiuk.
