Case description

On March 16, 2023, the HACC acquitted MP Yurii Kamelchuk, who was accused of making false declarations.

According to the investigation, the MP did not indicate in his 2020 declaration an apartment in the Pecherskyi district for UAH 3.6 million, which he had rented for two years. The NACP also pointed out that he failed to declare three private companies and a USD 48,000 loan. Kamelchuk explained that he had transferred ownership of these companies to another person, but this was not taken into account in the NACP report.

He was charged under Article 366-2, part 1 of the Criminal Code. The MP was acquitted, and later the case was closed because the statute of limitations had expired.
