Case description
On March 16, 2023, the HACC acquitted MP Maksym Pashkovskyi, who failed to include information about a rented apartment in the Pecherskyi district worth about UAH 2 million in his 2020 declaration. Later, the case against him was closed.
According to the investigation, MP Maksym Pashkovskyi deliberately failed to include some of his expenses in his 2020 electronic declaration, namely, he entered inaccurate information about his rented apartment in the Pecherskyi district of Kyiv, which differed from the true information by about UAH 2 million.
His actions were classified under Article 366-2, part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Pashkovskyi admitted that he had made a mistake, but noted that his brother had filled out the document and he had overlooked it.
The HACC acquitted the MP due to the absence of corpus delicti in his actions. However, the court fined him for failing to appear at three court hearings.
