Case description
On February 1, 2024, the HACC found Hamlet Hasparian, a state registrar in Kharkiv Oblast, guilty of illegal registration of title, which caused the state UAH 1.2 million in losses. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
In February 2017, Hamlet Hasparian held the position of state registrar at the Pechenizkyi District State Administration in Kharkiv Oblast. On February 27, he decided to register the title to non-residential premises with a total area of 213.7 square meters, owned by Zhylkomservis Municipal Enterprise, in the name of another person, using his own key and a copy of the already canceled decision of the Kharkiv Oblast Commercial Court. The state suffered approximately UAH 1.2 million in losses.
The panel of judges found him guilty of committing a crime under Article 365-2, part 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Hasparian was sentenced to 5 years in prison with confiscation of half of his property and barred from holding certain positions for 3 years.
